Where to Find Classic Car Collections
Car collection displays are typically large, eye catching, impressive exhibits that feature some of the most unique, rarest cars ever made. Although finding places that feature great car collections can be difficult, the US is home to a few of the most famous collections in the world.
Imperial Palace Las Vegas Collection
Located in shiny Las Vegas, the Imperial Palace is one of the best places to appreciate car collections that include antique, classic, muscle and special interest automobiles.
With between 4,000 and 5,000 visitors daily, the Imperial Palace is also a showcase for selling the cars on display. As a result, not only is the inventory of the cars constantly in flux, but it is also a haven for car collectors looking to expand their collections.
The LeMay House Collection
Harold E. LeMay, a rich businessman in Tacoma,WA, once held the record for the largest privately owned car collection, with over 3,000 vehicles. LeMay used to have an Annual Car Show at his homestead where he keeps the bulk of his collection. Some of these cars located in Tacoma include:

Don Laughlin’s Classic Car Collection
Located at Don Laughlin’s Riverside Resort and Casino in Laughlin, NV, this classic car collection consists of over 80 beautiful and rare antique automobiles, trucks and motorcycles. Laughlin’s exhibit is open seven days a week and is free of charge.

Harrah’s Auto Museum
Located in the heart of Reno, NV, Harrah’s Auto Museum was started by Bill Harrah, the founder of a gaming empire in Reno. He was an avid car collector who had acquired 1,400 vehicles by the time of his death in 1978. The museum now features about 200 cars from his famous car collection.
Toad Hall Cars
The Toad Hall Car Collection, located at Simmons Homestead Inn in Hyannis Port, MA, is one of the most famous car collections of all time. It has over 50 classic sports cars that are English, Japanese and European in origin.
One of the most distinct features of the Toad Hall cars is that every car in the collection is red. The collection was given its name after Mr. Toad from the book "The Wind in The Willows" by Kenneth Grahme. The main character, Toad, who was the Lord of Toad Hall, owned many cars that were all red.
