MR layout: A vehicle that has its engine in the mid-area with a rear wheel drive such as the 1966 Ford GT40 and the 1996 Lotus Elise.
muscle car: Muscle cars are generally mid-sized cars with large capacity engines that were manufactured in the United States between roughly 1962 and 1973, including the Dodge Charger and the Pontiac GTO.
N.O.S.: New Old Stock; parts that are the original parts supplied by the vehicle's manufacturer.
nail head: A 1950s Buick engine.
nerf: Slang term that is short for nerf bars that are used to ward off tires in open-wheel racing cars.
newstalgia: Refers to a rod style that mimics the 1950s and 1960s and employs modern power plants, components and body panels.
NOS: Nitrous Oxide System; gives an incredible burst of speed.
overbore: An engine block that has had its cylinder bore enlarge because it is badly worn or the owner wants more power.
overwind: To run an engine faster in RPM than its designed limits.
